Local information

The town of Praia da Luz (Beach of Light) is a beautiful and picturesque town of cobbled streets, shops, supermarkets and an abundance of mouth watering restaurants and happy hang over bars. Summertime sees street entertainment and small market stalls along the promenade. All of the Luz amenities are within walking distance of each other.

Each villa and apartment managed by the team at JNB Villa Management has a Welcome Booklet in place for the arrival of the clients. The booklet holds details of the villa/ apartment, a detailed beach guide (other than the Luz beach), excursions and days out, local and not so local restaurants and bars that we recommend, best and cheapest places to shop and other useful information.

 

Activities

The Western Algarve is renowned for it's beautiful clean beaches and fine golf courses; however, there is something for everyone and most of the attractions are less than an hours' drive away.
If you're on a family holiday then there is plenty to entertain the children with, for example, water parks, zoomarine, themed crazy golf parks, sports centers (football, tennis etc.) as well as the lovely safe beaches with all the water sports like sailing, body boarding, water skiing, windsufing, banana rides etc. Your children will never have a dull moment!

And for the adults as well as all the sporting activities including some excellent golf courses, there's a wide variety of lively bars and restaurants, the majority of which are geared up for families as well.

Why not go sight seeing and visit the historical town of Lagos, take a trip on a sailing boat along the coast, visit the Monchique mountains, explore the West coast or visit the Moorish Castle at Silves.

Whether you just want to laze by the pool with an ice cold drink or explore the Algarve and all that it has to offer, there is something for everyone here!
