The town of Praia da Luz (Beach of Light) is a beautiful and picturesque town of cobbled streets, shops, supermarkets and an abundance of mouth watering restaurants and beach view bars. Summertime sees street entertainment and small market stalls along the promenade. All of the Luz amenities are within walking distance of each other.

The Western Algarve is renowned for it’s beautiful clean beaches and fine golf courses. However there is something for everyone and most of the attractions are less than an hours drive away from the town.

If you’re on a family holiday then there is plenty to entertain the children with water parks, zoomarine, a local zoo or themed crazy golf parks. There are also sports centers offering yoga classes, football, tennis and padel courts and much more.  The many local beaches offer water sports like sailing, body boarding, surfing, water skiing, windsufing, banana rides etc. Your children will never have a dull moment!

And for the adults as well as all the sporting activities including some excellent golf courses, there’s a wide variety of lively bars and restaurants, spas, vineyards or local cooking courses.

Why not go sight seeing and visit the historical town of Lagos, take a trip on a sailing boat along the coast, visit the Monchique mountains, explore the West coast or visit the moorish castle at Silves.

Whether you just want to laze by the pool with an ice cold drink or explore the Algarve and all that it has to offer, there is something for everyone here!
